We are a UK-based POS display manufacturer specialising in the design, prototyping and production of bespoke point of sale displays, retail fixtures, sweet bins, glorifiers, museum cases, machine guards, menu holders and precision-cut parts. Operating from our facility in Brighton, East Sussex, we serve clients across the United Kingdom — from independent retailers and museum curators through to national supermarket buyers, brand managers and design agencies running multi-site rollouts.
What sets The Cutting Room apart from most UK fabricators is the combination of an instant online acrylic cutting quote tool with a full bespoke manufacturing capability. Many of our competitors do one or the other — we do both, in the same workshop, with the same materials, the same machines and the same craftspeople. Whether you need a single laser-cut prototype delivered next week or 5,000 branded counter display units rolling out across a national retail estate, the same team handles the job from quote through to dispatch.
Why retailers and agencies choose us
Most of our work comes through repeat customers and referrals. The reasons we hear most often: speed (instant online quotes, 5-day express production where required); flexibility (genuine willingness to take on low-volume prototype runs of 10–50 units that larger factories decline); transparent pricing (our online tool shows the build-up of material and cutting costs in real time); and end-to-end capability (we cut, fabricate, finish, brand, pack and despatch every job in-house rather than outsourcing stages to third parties). For design agencies, the appeal is having a UK partner that operates discreetly behind the scenes — we ship branded to your end client, sign NDAs as standard, and never compete for your accounts.
Our manufacturing facility
The workshop in Brighton houses CNC routers, laser cutters, diamond polishing equipment, flame polishers, screen-printing capability, digital UV print stations, thermoforming equipment and full assembly bays. We stock a comprehensive range of acrylic, polycarbonate, PETG, Dibond, foamex and mirrored sheet in thicknesses from 2mm to 25mm, alongside MDF, plywood and hardwoods for timber displays and plinths, and printed correx, foamboard and cardboard for retail and exhibition work. Because we cut timber, fabricate plastic and print in-house, we can combine all three into a single finished display — an acrylic-fronted unit on a timber base with full-colour printed graphics, for example — without subcontracting a single stage.
