Printing onto acrylic,Dibond & rigid substrates

Digital UV flatbed printing direct to acrylic, Dibond, foamex and other rigid substrates. Wide-format vinyl printing and cutting. Screen printing for solid-colour repeat work. Laser engraving for tactile and conservation-grade finishes. Pantone-matched, photo-quality, bundled into the job so the finished piece arrives branded and ready to go.

How it works

Artwork to finished print in five steps

Every print job follows the same path. The variables are the artwork, the substrate and the method. Here’s the standard run.

1

Artworkin your format

Send us your artwork in PDF, AI, EPS or high-res JPG/PNG. Brand guidelines, Pantone references and any colour-critical notes welcomed. If you only have a rough idea or a brief, we can set up artwork from scratch — quoted alongside the print.

2

Proofbefore production

Every print job gets a proof. Digital PDF mockup for sign-off on layout and content. Physical printed proof on the actual substrate for colour-critical work. Proof revisions are included in the quote — we won’t go to production until the colour and layout are signed off.

3

Methodpick the right one

UV flatbed for photo-quality and full-colour direct to rigid substrates. Vinyl for solid colours and cut graphics. Screen print for volume runs of identical pieces. Laser engraving for tactile, permanent, premium finishes. Often combined on a single piece.

4

ProductionPantone-matched

Colour-managed press output with white ink layer for opacity on clear substrates. Substrate-specific inks for adhesion and durability. Quality-checked against the signed-off proof at the press.

5

Finish & shipor fit into the job

For print-only orders: protective film, careful packing, tracked delivery UK-wide. For combined jobs (where we’re also cutting, bonding and finishing the substrate), the print is part of the assembly — the finished piece ships as one unit.

Four print methods

Pick the right one for the job

Photo quality

UV Flatbeddirect to acrylic

Full CMYK + white ink direct to rigid substrates. 1440dpi photo-quality. Up to 2.5×1.25m in a single pass.

Clean & sharp

Cut Vinylsolid colours

Solid-colour vinyl cut to shape and applied to the substrate. Matt, gloss, frosted, metallic. Cost-effective for clean type.

Best for volume

Screen Printhigh runs

Sharp ink edges, deep saturation. Cost-effective above 50 units. The right answer for 500+ identical pieces.

Premium & tactile

Laser Engravinginto the material

Engraved into the substrate, not on top. Tactile, permanent, premium. For plaques, donor walls and architectural signage.

Substrates

What we’ll print on

Most rigid substrates take UV print directly. Roll-fed substrates run on the wide-format printer for vinyl and banner work. Below is what gets used most often.

FAQ

Printing questions

What kinds of printing do you offer?
Digital UV print direct to acrylic, Dibond, foamex, MDF, timber and other rigid substrates. Vinyl cut and application (matt, gloss, frosted, branded). Screen print onto acrylic, polycarbonate and other substrates. Large format digital print onto banner material, PVC and paper. Laser engraving for tactile and conservation-grade finishes.
Can you print white onto clear acrylic?
Yes. UV printing can lay down white as a base layer or as an opaque graphic onto clear acrylic, polycarbonate or any transparent substrate. White can be laid down first to make CMYK images appear opaque, or printed alone for a frosted-glass effect.
What’s the maximum print size?
UV flatbed printing up to 2.5×1.25 metres in a single pass. Larger graphics can be tiled across multiple panels with seamless joins. For full-wall graphics, we work in adhesive vinyl applied to base panels of any size.
Can you print direct to a finished display case?
Yes. Logos, brand wordmarks, sponsor crests, museum labels and interpretation text can be UV-printed directly onto the acrylic surface of a finished case — either as part of the case manufacture, or onto an existing case sent in for printing.
Can you match brand colours from Pantone references?
Yes — Pantone-matched printing as standard. We work from Pantone solid coated or uncoated references, and supply proof prints for colour sign-off before production. For exact-match critical brand work, we recommend a press-side proof.
Do you do vinyl cutting and application?
Yes — cut vinyl in solid colours, metallics and frosted finishes. Applied to acrylic, glass, vehicle bodies, windows and signage substrates. Combined with UV print for layered effects.
Can you handle large-format printing?
Yes — up to 2.5×1.25m on the UV flatbed in a single pass, or panel-joined for larger pieces. Wide-format roll-fed printing for vinyl, banner material and self-adhesive substrates.
Do you provide print artwork setup?
Yes — we’ll work from your supplied artwork (PDF, AI, EPS, high-res JPG or PNG) or set up artwork from your brief. Artwork setup time is included in the quote for standard work; complex artwork is quoted separately.
