FAQ

Signage questions

What types of signs do you make?
Office and door signs, shop fascia signs, wayfinding and directional signage, building entrance signs, reception backdrops, hanging signs, window vinyl on acrylic, plaques, dimensional letters, and bespoke architectural signs. From A6 desk signs to multi-metre fascia installations.
Can you make signs with raised dimensional letters?
Yes. Built-up dimensional letters can be cut from acrylic in any thickness, mounted to a backing panel with concealed standoff fixings, or stud-mounted directly to a wall. Painted or printed any colour.
What about LED illuminated signs?
Yes — edge-lit acrylic signs, built-up illuminated letters with internal LED, halo-lit signs (LED behind the letter casting a halo on the wall), and lightbox signs. Wired to mains plug or hardwired.
How are acrylic signs mounted?
Concealed standoff fixings (the sign appears to float a few millimetres off the wall) are the most popular. Direct flush-mount with hidden adhesive for smaller signs. Stud-mounted for dimensional letters. Steel mounting frames for larger fascias.
Can you make signs for outdoor use?
Yes — outdoor-grade acrylic and weather-resistant inks for external signage. For high-exposure or vandalism-prone locations we’d recommend Dibond/ACM composite signage.
Do you make wayfinding sign systems?
Yes — coordinated sets of room signs, directional signs, departmental headers, and floor identifiers in matching style, typography and finish. Cost-effective when ordered as a single specification.
What about Braille and tactile signage?
Yes — we can incorporate raised Braille and tactile lettering for Equality Act and Disability Discrimination Act compliance, particularly for healthcare, public buildings and schools.
Can signs be removed and repositioned?
Standoff-mounted signs are designed to be removable. Adhesive-mounted signs are typically one-position. Specify at order stage.
